Allurepark Laag Kanje

Laag-Kanje has been a household word among holidaymakers since 40 years. Originally a noble estate, our park has developed into an attractive 4-star camping with pitches for tourists and sites for seasonal and year-round stays.
Laag-Kanje is located right in the heart of Holland. So who would expect sandy beaches here? Still, that is what you find right next door to us, along the Henschotermeer, a 30-acre recreational lake that is perfect for swimming.

A stay at Laag-Kanje is a matter of quality. Quality which expresses itself in modern facilities, hospitality and recognition by ANWB, RECRON, Stichting Trekkershutten Nederland (the Dutch association for hiker cabins) and Stichting Utrechtse Heuvelrug Vakantieparken (association for holiday parks on the Utrecht hill region).

The relaxed atmosphere in our park guarantees a carefree and pleasant stay. In combination with its unique location in the middle of woods and next to lake and beach, you will find endless holiday opportunities that will make for good memories for a long time.

Our recreational park offers tranquillity and plenty of space, plus excellent facilities. All sites have electric hook-ups (4/6/16 amperes).

Laag-Kanje is a quiet recreation park. Keep in mind that:

  • we don't have a discotheque
  • we don't allow pets
  • we make sure that your neighbours don't keep you awake at night
  • we don't accept youngsters travelling by themselves.

If you choose for a holiday on Laag Kanje you will be assured that your children and you will feel safe. The camp sites are specially designed for the safety of you and your kids.
You children have the freedom to play and you have lots of space.

Hikers cabin

A hiker's cabin is an excellent place to stay and rest. This practical accommodation offers a proper bed, a cooking facility, a place to sit, plus electricity. The hiker's cabins are suited for four persons.

Luxurious camping in a mobile home or chalet

On our camp site there is the possibility to place your own chalet. One part of the camp site offers special variaties, as in making it your "second home". 

Expended walks and cycles trough the nature

Allurepark Laag-Kanje is beautifully located on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug (National Park), the hilly ridge that cuts through the province of Utrecht, in the middle of Holland. The hilly landscape is characterized by large wooded nature reserves. One of the most beautiful sections is aptly called the Stichtse Lustwarande, the Utrecht pleasure grounds. This includes villages such as Maarn, Driebergen, Doorn, Austerlitz and Amerongen, with stately homes and parcs in English country style.

Here everyone will find something to his or her liking. The area is perfect for hiking and cycling trips. Various cities, both large and small (Utrecht, Amersfoort, Zeist, Wijk bij Duurstede) have pleasant city centres but also interesting sights, museums and cultural activities. For the children there are also plenty of activities. For a day trip you can choose, for example, among the Amersfoort or Rhenen zoos, the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk, the Pyramid of Austerlitz or swimming pool De Zwoer in Driebergen.

The lake is perfect for children, and the water quality is kept at a high standard. The water is bordered by white sand beaches and green grass. The lake is surrounded by hills with conifers and broadleaf trees. This fantastic swimming paradise lies within five strolling minutes from your camping pitch.
